Buckeye Pipes are the brainchild of Premal Chheda of Smokers' Haven in Columbus Ohio. Buckeye Pipes are made by high-grade artisans from across the United States, and feature handmade stummels and hand-finished stems. The shapes vary from the classic to the whimsical, each pipe reflecting a little bit of the style and uniqueness of the artisan that created it. The shapes and finishes are among the best pipes you can obtain in the price range (generally $135-$250, depending on shape and finish), and the internals are crafted to modern artisan standards. All of the pipes pass a meticulous final inspection by Premal himself, who then stamps the pipe when he is satisfied that it will provide the customer with a perfect smoke every time.
Buckeye Smooth Plateau Cherrywood.
Halfway between a bent dublin and a bent poker, this cherrywood displays ample amounts of flame and straight grain in a silky smooth, natural finish. Paired with an amber colored acrylic stem that lends to the bright overall feel of the pipe, this pipe is topped off with plateau that hearkens back to the natural block it came from.

Buckeye Sandblasted Large Dublin/Horn.
This large dublin/horn has a muscular bowl and shank that's complemented by a slim, tortoiseshell acrylic stem that balances out the weight of the bowl. This pipe would be great for those who like to take their time with their smoke, and those who prefer a pipe with thick walls and a deep chamber.

Buckeye Smooth Standing Blowfish.
A whimsical example of a blowfish, this Buckeye features a blowfish bowl put on a teardrop shank that sits neatly on a flat surface. The vulcanite button on the back provides a fun touch for a pipe that is anything but ordinary. The grain is magnificent, too.

Buckeye Smooth Paneled Sitter.
A steady sitter, this pipe was left unstained so that it should take on some magnificent color with age. It has a deep bowl that should make it a great companion for when you really want to take your time and relax with a good pipe. The cubist lines add to its neo-American appeal, and is certainly something that would be at home in any collection.

Buckeye Sandblasted Fliptail Dublin.
This is a whimsical take on a dublin if I ever saw one. Absolutely stacked with ring grain with a smooth contrast plateau top, this pipe is truly a substantial handful of a pipe to hold in the hand. However, the chamber isn't too large in diameter and one might say it's even conservative in size, so you're able to have a little bit of the best of both worlds. I think that's a good thing.
